b When did you join the Quilting Bee?
I joined twice, actually! I was a member from Aug. 2002 to Dec. 2005, and then I re-joined in 2008. :D

b What made you want to join the Quilting Bee?
It seemed like a really fun way to meet people, and a great venue for creativity and artistic projects. I've had a lot of fun creating pixel images for the group.

b How did you get started pixeling?
I actually didn't get really into pixeling until I joined the Q*Bee the first time. But after a while, I fell in love with it. It fascinated me how with just a few simple combinations of pixels, you could basically make adorable little "paintings". :D

b What inspired you to create your first website?
I got caught in the wave of everyone making personal websites, even if they had nothing really interesting to say to or offer the world. Haha. Eventually, my site evolved from being just a personal space on the web to being my online portfolio, and all my personal stuff went to my blog.

b What are some of your future goals?
I'm in the process of building my personal computer art/graphics company, and hope to get married and have kids with my wonderful boyfriend soon! I'd also like to build up my photography portfolio by adding photos featuring other models. I've always wanted to dive into high-fashion photography, but I don't have the connections or resources at the moment.

b School or Work?
I received my BFA in Spring of 2009, so no more school for me. I'm currently working as both a freelance artist and as the photographer/graphic designer for an abstract metal art studio.

b Hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my hubby, my friends, and my family. I also like to go shopping, go clubbing, play video games, shoot pool, and just jam out to music. But more than anything else, I love to make art. I feel privileged that I've been able to make a career out of doing something I enjoy doing in my free time.

b In your own words...
Well, I've got an interesting story about how things just seem to fall into place sometimes. I had taken my car to the mechanic two weeks ago, and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to pay the mechanic. I had been waiting on a big payment from Random House, the publishing company, for a commission they recently requested of me. It turns out, the money came in the day before the car was ready. I was so grateful, and quite frankly, amused. Seemed like fate decided to deal me a very nice hand.
